great starter indash dvd : Boss BV9555 7-Inch Double-DIN Motorized In-Dash Widescreen Touchscreen TFT Monitor/DVD/MP3/CD Combo Receiver
I've had this unit for practically a year now and it works great. I love the Sd card and Usb plugin function because I do not own an Ipod. With these features I dont need one. I naturally take the songs off my computer and copy them to the Sd card or my Usb flash drive. If your finding for a good unit thats not going to cost you an arm and a leg then this is the unit for you. The extra pre-amp outputs make this a dream for my audio system. I have 2 Alpine Mrp-M1000(Mono)amps pushing 2 Alpine Swr-1242D(4-ohm Dvc Subwoofers). I have a rear view back up camera installed as well. This unit gives you a lot of flexibility with your audio.
My advice, get this unit. Unless you just want to spend $800 on a different unit that does the same thing and comes from a more popular vendor.
Also, make sure you let an authorized dealer install this unit. If you 'Jerry Rig' it or dont install it right it will not last long!
